We have different skating and hockey programs and public skating opportunities at several rinks around the city!
Cataraqui Community Centre
Located at 1030 Sunnyside Rd. The Cataraqui Arena provides different features in their facilities.

- Four ball diamonds (Cloverdale diamonds)

Centre 70 Arena
Located at 100 Days Rd. This is a community centre and arena that offers a variety of recreational programs throughout the year.
The Centre 70 Arena provides different features in their facilites.

INVISTA Centre Arena
Located at 1350 Gardiners Rd., the INVISTA Centre is a LEED®-certified building featuring four NHL-sized rinks, three multipurpose rooms and a fitness centre.

Memorial Centre Arena
Located at 303 York Street. The Memorial Centre has long been a destination for sport and culture and today offers many different features.

Community rinks
These are rinks on City property, that are managed and run by a group of volunteers. While the City does put up boards at these locations, it is up to the volunteers to maintain them. If you’re interested in building your own community rink please review the Outdoor Rink Policy and follow the instructions in the Outdoor Rink Manual.
When can outdoor rinks open?
Currently, all outdoor rinks are closed for the season. Their opening will depend on several factors:
- We require a series of very cold days to build up the ice on outdoor rinks. Only the rink at Springer Market Square has a refrigerated cooling system that allows it to open earlier in the season.
- Some outdoor rinks have access to water on-site, making it easier to prepare them for skaters. However, water needs to be trucked to other outdoor rinks, which changes the process of flooding them and making them skate ready.
