Better Homes Kingston
The Better Homes Kingston Program actively helps you make your home more energy-efficient and climate-friendly through a single portal. It offers up to $40,000 in loans at zero per cent interest for energy-efficient upgrades. You can even get 30 per cent upfront to pay contractors.
As a resident of Kingston you are eligible for a zero-interest loan for home energy efficiency improvements.
This program is supported by the Government of Canada's Green Municipal Fund through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
Received your Notice to Proceed?
If you have received a notice to proceed with your home energy evaluation, you must follow these steps before making any payments or proceeding with energy improvements:
- Meet with the energy coach and fill out a valid funding request form with their assistance.
- Get confirmation from us that your request has been accepted.
- Sign, submit, and receive a fully executed property owner agreement.
Failure to complete these steps before starting your energy improvements means they will not qualify for Better Homes Kingston loan funding. If you are not sure about the next steps, please reach out for clarification as you are near this stage in the process.
