Service Disruption Update: Multiple email notices issue resolved

On Friday, Nov. 15, many of our subscribers reported an issue with our email notification system sending multiple copies of previously published news releases. We know waking up to hundreds of email copies is disruptive, and we apologize for the inconvenience this technical issue caused.

After working with our service provider to investigate the problem, we are happy to let you know that the technical issue has been resolved. We began sending news notices again this morning (just one copy this time!).

If you unsubscribed from City emails to reduce the number of notices you received, please do sign up again at CityofKingston.ca/Subscribe. You can choose the email categories that best suit your needs or select Community News to receive all City news updates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while our teams worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

The City of Kingston acknowledges that we are on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat, and thanks these nations for their care and stewardship over this shared land.

Today, the City is committed to working with Indigenous peoples and all residents to pursue a united path of reconciliation.
