Potential delay in garbage and recycling collection

Due to operational adjustments, residential garbage and recycling collection may be delayed in the coming weeks as new practices are implemented.

“The health and safety of our staff is of the utmost importance,” says Adam Mueller, Manager of Solid Waste. “We have been working to develop safer protocols for our collection staff to ensure that they are supported in completing their routes in a safe and efficient manner, while still providing the same level of customer service our residents have come to expect from us.”

Residents are reminded that collection takes place weekdays between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. For further information on garbage collection or to confirm your scheduled collection day, please check CityofKingston.ca/Garbage-and-Recycling/.
