New A/V equipment at Slush Puppie Place brings the sound closer to fans

Over the summer, the sound system in the arena was completely removed in the arena bowl and a new system of state-of-the-art speakers, receivers, amplifiers and wiring was installed. The new system increases the audio output and produces higher-quality sound all around the bowl and throughout the facility.

“We’re excited to welcome fans back to Slush Puppie Place for the first Frontenacs game of the season, and to showcase our powerful new A/V system,” said Amy Elgersma, Director of Recreation and Leisure Services at the City. “With music and announcements coming in loud and clear, and the play-by-plays shining brightly on the scoreboard, any seat around the bowl is now the best seat in the house.”

The City contracted Branch Audiovisual to complete the audio upgrades and Daktronics to install a new video controller for the scoreboard at Slush Puppie Place.
