Final property taxes due on June 28

Kingston property owners are reminded that final property taxes are due on Friday, June 28. Property taxes are an important source of revenue for a city and allow for the delivery of essential services.

As part of the City’s new website, residents will also have access to the new MyTax portal. Registering your property with MyTax gives you access to your tax account information and the option for paperless billing. Visit MyKingston.ca with your access code (found on the front of your 2024 Final Tax Bill) to register.

Residents who have not yet received their bill should contact the City by calling 613-546-0000 Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Failure to receive your bill does not excuse you from payment or from penalties for late payment.

The average tax rate increase for residential property is 2.76 per cent, approved by Kingston City Council at its April 16 meeting. This is lower than the predicted levy of 3.5 per cent. The final tax levy and rate is calculated based on several factors and tax policies.
