City of Kingston seeks community input on Asset Management Plan
As part of the ongoing update to its Asset Management Plan (AMP), the City is seeking public input on the levels of service provided by its infrastructure assets, including roads, facilities, parks and a number of other assets.
Feedback received will help the City make informed decisions about maintaining, updating, repairing and replacing assets.
"We are dedicated to ensuring our assets provide reliable, high-quality services that meet the needs of our community," says Brent Fowler, Director of Corporate Asset Management & Fleet. "Your feedback is vital in helping us understand your satisfaction, expectations and priorities in this area, which will guide our long-term planning and management of these assets."
This initiative aligns with provincial regulation 588/17, Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure, which requires municipalities to develop comprehensive asset management plans for all municipally owned infrastructure assets. These plans are essential for making informed decisions about the service delivery of infrastructure assets, balancing affordability with the community’s current and future service level needs.
Take the survey before February 24
The City of Kingston values the input of its community members and looks forward to working together to create a sustainable, affordable and well-maintained infrastructure system.
To participate in this engagement initiative, please visit Get Involved Kingston. Participants who complete the survey will automatically be entered to win a prize associated with enjoying some of the City's assets and infrastructure. The survey closes Feb. 24, 2025.
