Canada Post services resume; plan for potential delays
Following a Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) ruling, Canada Post employees returned to work and postal operations resumed on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024.
Due to the duration of the labour disruption and the volume of mail typically processed in November and December, Canada Post advises that customers should expect delays in processing and delivery.
While the mail system normalizes, mail to and from the City will likely not arrive immediately. You are still responsible for paying bills, fines and parking tickets on time. For anything time-sensitive, alternative payment and correspondence methods remain available.
