Strategic Priorities

In June 2023, Mayor and Council approved the City of Kingston 2023-2026 Strategic Plan . It outlines the City's key priorities, guiding the work of staff and Council decision-making during that time. The plan was shaped by community input and contributions from Council and City staff. We commit to keeping you updated on the plan’s progress each year.

In the 2023 Update, you'll find several milestones highlighted within each strategic priority. These include climate action projects, traffic safety programs, investments in housing, parks improvements and much more. Read the Strategic Plan 2023 Update to discover more of the progress we made last year.

The City of Kingston acknowledges that we are on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat, and thanks these nations for their care and stewardship over this shared land.

Today, the City is committed to working with Indigenous peoples and all residents to pursue a united path of reconciliation.
