Public Engagement

Public engagement provides an opportunity for community members to become involved in decision-making in the City. Opportunities to engage with us are published in Get Involved Kingston. Each project includes a clear goal, project information and how you can get involved to share your input.

Get Involved Kingston

Visit Get Involved Kingston, our online engagement site to share, participate and engage. We encourage you to make your voice heard and help shape our beautiful city.

Public Engagement Framework

The Public Engagement Framework provides a clear and collaborative process for how you can get involved in discussions that impact on the City. It guides how you can shape decisions, give input to decision-makers, and understand how your input is used. The framework covers realistic expectations, guiding principles, roles, planning, and techniques for effective engagement. Our commitment to this framework is outlined in the Public Engagement Charter.

The City of Kingston acknowledges that we are on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat, and thanks these nations for their care and stewardship over this shared land.

Today, the City is committed to working with Indigenous peoples and all residents to pursue a united path of reconciliation.
