Planning Advisory Committee

The Planning Advisory Committee advises the City's Planning Committee about land use planning matters. Members show an interest in planning and development, including: 

  • planning legislation
  • land use planning
  • growth management
  • conservation of natural or cultural heritage resources
  • transportation planning
  • brownfields remediation
  • open space planning
  • economic development
  • provision of public and social services

The Planning Advisory Committee is not a decision-making committee of council and is not responsible for reviewing development applications made under the Planning Act. The Committee reports its activity to the Planning Committee through meeting notes and content summarized within staff reports.
