Homemaking Services

This program currently has a waitlist.

Homemaking services help people who are older, ill or have a disability with tasks so they can remain in their own home. These subsidized services are provided according to rules set by the Province and the City.

Homemaking services are managed through Comfort Keepers Kingston.

Only residents of the City of Kingston are eligible for this service. Housing and Social Services will review your finances to determine if you're eligible for homemaking assistance.

Services included

    • Cleaning the bathroom and kitchen
    • Dusting, sweeping and vacuuming
    • Making meals if there is no alternative available
    • Doing the laundry and changing bed sheets

The City of Kingston acknowledges that we are on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat, and thanks these nations for their care and stewardship over this shared land.

Today, the City is committed to working with Indigenous peoples and all residents to pursue a united path of reconciliation.
