Zoning Bylaws
Zoning bylaws are regulations that control the use of land across the city. Zoning Bylaws detail how land may be used, where buildings can be located and include requirements such as lot sizes, parking and building heights.
Kingston Zoning Bylaw documents
- Part One, Sections 1 to 19
- Part Two, Section 20: Legacy Exceptions
- Part Three, Section 21: Exceptions
- Part Four, Section 22: Holding Conditions
- Part Five, Sections 23 to 24: Temporary Zones and Amendments to this Bylaw
Former Zoning Bylaws
We are currently reviewing our former Zoning Bylaws and propose to update them in the summer of 2024.
The former zoning bylaws have been repealed in their entirety, except as they apply to the properties that are shown as “Not Subject to this Bylaw” in the Kingston Zoning Bylaw.
The only properties that are subject to the former zoning bylaws are those that are shown as “Not Subject to this Bylaw” in Kingston Zoning Bylaw.
