Summer's End Doggie Dip

Summer is almost over, which means it’s time to unleash Fido for a swim at the Culligan Water Park! We recommend pre-registering your dog to secure a spot and make the most of this once-a-summer opportunity for an off-leash dip. Check the activities section for schedules for both big and small dogs. Remember to pack dog waste bags, sunscreen, and a water bottle too!

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024 at Culligan Water Park, 303 York St., Kingston, ON.

How to pre-register

To save $5 per dog and guarantee a spot, we recommend pre-registering. Drop-in spots are limited and based on pre-registration. This event has sold out before!

  • Pre-register online: $10 per dog
  • Drop-in/event day registration: $15 per dog

Activities

Swims are broken down into two weight classes:

  • Small dogs, 30 lbs and under from 4:15 - 5 p.m.
  • Large dogs, 30 lbs and over from 5:15 - 6 p.m. and 6:15 - 7 p.m. 

Please ensure you register for the correct time based on your dog’s weight. Check-in available through the patio area 15 minutes prior to start time.

Note: Lifeguards will be onsite for the safety and supervision of people in the pool enclosure. Dog owners must take full responsibility for the safety and supervision of their dogs in and out of the water.

Event Rules

  • Maximum two dogs per person.
  • Maximum two people accompanying each dog.
  • All dogs must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
  • Children under 10 years of age are not permitted on the pool deck during this event.
  • A waiver must be signed by all human participants prior to entry.
  • Proof of up-to-date pet licensing and up-to-date rabies and bordatella shots must be provided for each dog prior to entry.
  • People are permitted to wade into the water to their waist only (no swimming with the dogs).
  • Owners must have leashes for dogs on-site. Only people and dog-friendly dogs permitted.
  • All owners are responsible for cleaning up after their own dogs.
  • Participants/dogs will not be permitted to re-enter the event if they leave the pool enclosure prior to the end of the event.
  • Dogs are not permitted inside the facility change rooms.
  • Entry is through the patio gate entrance. Participants will exit through the north emergency exit.
  • Owners are responsible for retrieving their dogs in the event of an emergency.

Please note: The City of Kingston reserves the right to ask an owner to leash and/or remove their dog if we feel they are unsafe.
