Start your New Year’s Eve with our free K-Town Countdown! Join us for an evening of fun with animal education, magic shows, Paint Nite, live DJ skate, sensory-friendly skating, and more. Plus, enter to win Kingston Frontenacs gift baskets, get a portrait sketch, and enjoy food, drinks, and interactive activities for all ages!

On Tuesday Dec. 31, from 5 to 9 p.m. at INVISTA Centre, 1350 Gardiners Rd.

Activities 

Check out the exciting activities happening on both floors! From magic shows, animal encounters, and sensory skating, to glitter tattoos, face-painting, and a photo-booth—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 

First floor

  • Jack’s Pro Shop open: skate sharpening, skate rentals, and other goodies for purchase
  • ATM on site
  • Haymaker’s Canteen open for dinner, and snacks and drinks for purchase
  • Near South Entrance: Magic Mirror Photobooth: take home the memories!
  • Various costume characters to interact with
Zoo-To-You Animal Education exhibit:

In Meeting Rooms A and B: learn about all your favourite reptiles and other animal friends!

  • Colouring contest: located just outside the meeting rooms, near the main entrance, show-off your artistic abilities for your chance to with a reptile-themed gift basket! 
Randy the Magic Man:

In Meeting Room C, join Randy for a 30-minute off-the-wall magic and comedy show for all ages! Showtimes:

  • 5:30 - 6 p.m. 
  • 6:30 - 7 p.m.
19+ Paint Nite: Winter Starry Night:

A Paint and Sip Social, hosted by Paint Nite! Come enjoy a complimentary charcuterie board and champagne toast and leave with your very own masterpiece!

Desjardins Ice Rink: Sensory Skate hour from 4 - 5 p.m.:
  • Lights dimmed
  • No music
  • Mats on the ice to allow for parents/ guardians to walk on the ice (helmets required)
  • Limited skate supports available to borrow
DJ Skate Parties with Live DJ’s:
  • Skate and jive on the ice to the fun vibes of the music and lights
  • Individual schedules posted at each rink
  • Self-supplied skate supports allowed on Selkirk rink

Second floor

  • Kingston Frontenacs Gift Baskets (Youth and Adult): enter for your chance to win!
  • Glitter tattoos and Face-painting
  • Free Portrait Artists: sit down for a fun sketch of yourself or with friends and family!
