Canada Day
This Canada Day come together to celebrate summer and beat the heat at the coolest party in Kingston!
Three-time Scribble Jam champion and world-renown DJ Skratch Bastid will bring the party to Springer Market Square with DJ Tedwin and Ayanda the DJ on the main stage.
Chill out in The Caesar Co. beer garden and grab a bite from some of the city's best food vendors.
The event will conclude with an amazing fireworks display over Lake Ontario!
When and where?
On Monday July 1, 2024 at Confederation Park and Springer Market Square.
This is a FREE admission event, open to all ages.
Activities
Start the day with Downtown Kingston's Canada Day Parade of People, leaving from Metro (Princess and Barrie) at 11 a.m. and ending with Canada Day cakes at noon in Confederation Park.
From 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. enjoy:
- Rock climbing wall, inflatables, face-painting, and more at the Confederation Park Kids Zone
- Live music presented by Downtown Kingston featuring the Limestone Jazz Collective, Mauricio and the Latin Beat Band, and Atiari.
- A show with magician Rob Driscoll and Yo-Yo Dave or test your problem-solving skills with two pop-up puzzles from Improbable Escapes!

Accessibility information
- Confederation Park and Springer Market Square are fully accessible spaces.
- Accessible restrooms are available in City Hall and at the Visitors Information Centre, both featuring one non-gendered family restroom.
- Accessible entry to the City Hall amphitheatre is available via the ramp on the Brock St. side of City Hall, through the building, and into the amphitheatre.
- Sensory Space for folks experiencing sensory overstimulation will be available in Confederation Park.
- Water bowls will be available for guide dogs in Spring Market Square and outside the Visitor Information Centre.
